Here's a striking example of superior Mexican metal craftsmanship and design -- a vintage hand-wrought cocktail shaker. Crafted from alternating spiral bands of warm copper, golden brass, and cool nickel silver, the sleek tapered form exemplifies the clean modernist aesthetic popular in mid-century design.
This substantial shaker (it's lidless and not precisely a "shaker" but what to call it, a "vessel"?) has four noticeable dents to the body, consistent with its long life, which of course don't compromise its functionality. The photos show it from all sides.
It would need substantial interior cleaning before use.
