It is one of a collection of precios and semiprecious stone carvings we purchased from a retired professor of gemology and gemology. It was his personal collection and each one is the best of the best. This is made of Tree Agate, an uncommon stone. In folk lore and mythology it symbolizes personal power and inner peace . It is associated with wealth and prosperity for centuries. This horse looks proud and strong, with a front leg raised as if ready to prance. Quite a lovely piece.
