This striking piece features an exquisite, minimalist hand-painted silk composition depicting a branch bearing vibrant red pomegranates—a traditional Asian symbol of prosperity, abundance, and fertility. The delicate brushwork and rich pigments of the fruit stand out beautifully against a radiant, subtly textured gold-toned silk background that catches and reflects light with a soft shimmer. The lower right corner features the artist's elegant hand-brushed vertical signature reading "深雲 筆" (Shin-un hitsu), translating to "Painted by Shin-un" (Deep Clouds), accompanied by the artist's traditional red ink seal (hanko). The silk panels are bordered by a patterned fabric matting and framed in a clean, dark wood border. The outer edges and corners are accented with ornate, traditionally etched metallic hardware featuring an intricate, repeating geometric floral pattern. The reverse side is finished in a classic, neutral geometric repeating diamond pattern paper. Perfect as a dramatic tabletop or sideboard backdrop, a low room divider, or mounted as sophisticated statement wall art. See less

The etched metal corner plates and side mounts show a beautiful, authentic vintage patina. The back panel exhibits some minor cosmetic wear, faint staining, and slight surface scuffing consistent with its mid-century age and history. The hinges and frame are sturdy, and the screen folds smoothly. less
