Isparta rugs were woven in western Anatolia by Turkish weavers working in a refined, workshop-quality style, and this piece shows the type at its best: balanced drawing, a full 6'6" x 10'2" room size, and colors that have settled into a gentle, faded patina. Hand-knotted wool pile on a cotton foundation with medium-low pile, ideal under a dining table, in a living room or a bedroom.
