Limited giclée print by Japanese artist and illustrator Mitsumasa Anno, numbered 472/800 and signed in pencil at the lower right.
Frame dimensions: height 33.5 cm, width 33.5 cm, depth 1.5 cm.
The work depicts a soft and poetic view of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence. The famous bridge spanning the Arno is rendered in Anno’s distinctive refined style, with light watercolour-like tones, delicate architectural forms and subtle details of buildings, arches, water and small figures. The composition has a calm, almost dreamlike atmosphere, bringing the Italian city to life in an understated and elegant way.
Mitsumasa Anno, born in Japan in 1926, was an internationally acclaimed illustrator, artist and book creator. His work is known for its gentle landscapes, keen observations, travels throughout Europe and his remarkable sense of detail and imagination.
The technique used is a high-quality giclée print on paper, a fine art printing process that beautifully reproduces the soft colour gradations and watercolour-like texture of the original artwork. It is therefore not an original watercolour, but a limited-edition quality print.
The work is beautifully framed in a wooden frame with a passe-partout. It is in very good condition, with only light signs of age to the frame, consistent with its age and use.
A refined and atmospheric wall piece combining Japanese sensitivity with Italian architecture. A beautiful subtle interior accent for a Japanese, wabi-sabi, classic, minimalist or eclectic interior. This piece has an attribution mark,
