the six lampshades are made of opal glass – all glass is completely undamaged.

neoclassical decorative elements with a transition to art deco.

a group of musical cherubs adorns the upper part of the chandelier: the figurative design breaks with the highly ornamented, floral art nouveau style of france. Instead, it employs the typically viennese, more compact, and slightly geometric forms.

the cherub motif draws on baroque and neoclassical models (inspired, among other things, by historical viennese porcelain exhibitions of the time). However, the children's figures have been modernized – with smoother surfaces and the taut, rounded body shapes typical of viennese modernism.

the chandelier is in very good condition.

the chandelier was rewired at a later date. The wiring is in excellent condition and works worldwide on 110v to 230v.

the chandelier is fully functional and requires 6 x e26 bulbs (usa: e26).
