Titanium travertine shares the layered, sedimentary character of its Roman cousin in a cooler register, its banding running from silver through to charcoal rather than warm beige. It reads as grey and contemporary, a travertine at home in monochrome and pared-back rooms. Every top is cut from its own block, so no two of these Titanium travertine side tables are quite alike.

Beneath the top, the making is all economy. Two panels of the same stone meet perpendicular and lock together into a self-supporting cross-leg base, one slotting through the other, the join left in open view as the single detail the design allows itself.
