Titanium travertine shares the layered, sedimentary character of its Roman cousin in a cooler register, its banding running from silver through to charcoal rather than warm beige. It reads as grey and contemporary, a travertine at home in monochrome and pared-back rooms. The oak answers in kind: solid European oak smoked to a near-black brown, its grain still legible beneath the finish, so the travertine and oak read as two tones of a single warmth. These tops are cut from natural stone, and no two of these Titanium travertine and oak side tables are ever quite the same.

Below the top, two solid oak boards are notched and slotted one through the other into a self-supporting cross-leg base. There is no bracket, no metal and no visible fixing, only the join itself doing the structural work.
