Original lounge chair, designed by Grete Jalk and manufactured by France & Søn, Denmark, 1960s. Grete Jalk is regarded as one of the most influential Danish furniture designers of the Mid-Century Modern era, celebrated for her sculptural organic forms and exceptional craftsmanship. This elegant lounge chair combines outstanding comfort with refined proportions, making it an iconic example of Scandinavian design.

Crafted from beautifully figured teak, the frame features gracefully sculpted armrests with a wonderfully tactile feel. The rear is particularly striking, with two elegantly curved vertical teak supports that create an airy, architectural appearance, allowing the chair to stand beautifully in the center of a room. The gently tapered round legs further enhance its elegant proportions. The newly upholstered seat and back cushions are covered in a premium black-and-white wool blend fabric with a subtle sheen that complements the warm tones of the teak.

Condition: Professionally restored. The teak frame has been refinished, and the dust cover beneath the cushions has been replaced. The chair remains in excellent structural and vintage condition with only minor age-related signs of use, including light scratches, slight discoloration and small marks to the wood.
