Rare large “no neon” table and wall lamp designed by swedish architect and designer olle andersson for the renowned lighting manufacturer boréns of borås, sweden, during the 1980s. This striking postmodern light features three layered semicircular metal elements rising above a clean, angular white-lacquered base. Their reverse sides are subtly painted in soft pink and pastel green, producing delicate colored reflections when illuminated. The concealed light source casts a warm atmospheric glow upward and against the wall, emphasizing the lamp’s sculptural, almost architectural silhouette. A particularly versatile design, the lamp can be displayed freestanding as a table lamp or mounted on the wall using the integrated mounting points. Its playful geometry, pastel accents and restrained white finish are characteristic of progressive swedish postmodern and memphis-inspired design of the period. This is the larger and comparatively rare version of the model.
a matching pair of the smaller wall-light version is available separately in another listing. The lamp retains its boréns manufacturer’s label and model number 6688. It uses one e26/e27 screw-base bulb and is marked for a maximum of 100 watts at 230 volts. Good and well-maintained vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use.
