The sculptural design consists of three precisely layered semicircular metal elements arranged above a clean rectangular body. When switched off, the lamps appear almost entirely white and remarkably minimalist. Once illuminated, concealed colored reflector surfaces create delicate shades of pink, green and blue between the individual layers. This atmospheric effect resembles colored neon light—without the use of neon—and explains the playful model name “no neon.” olle andersson’s design combines the geometric vocabulary and visual wit of the international memphis movement with the clarity and restraint associated with scandinavian design. The result is distinctly postmodern, yet elegant enough to complement both contemporary and minimalist interiors. The lights were primarily designed for wall mounting.

one lamp retains its original white electrical cord and european plug, while the second was previously installed as a direct-wired wall light and therefore has no external cord. Both configurations can be adapted by a qualified electrician according to the requirements of the future installation. Each light is fitted with one e26/e27 screw socket. The original boréns manufacturer labels and printed brand marks are present.

measuring 45 cm in height, the larger model is particularly well suited for use as a sculptural table lamp. The pair remains in good, well-maintained vintage condition, showing only minor signs of age and use, including occasional light surface marks and small areas of wear. These do not detract from the overall appearance.
