Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly decorative vintage Chinese bird cage. Crafted from dense, dark Ebony wood (乌木) with a beautiful, deep black-brown patina, this cage is exquisitely constructed with fine vertical bars and subtle brass wire inlay adorning the edges.

The cage features an ornate cast bronze hook and top plate. The front features a sliding door with a brass lock pin. The base is fitted with a removable tray for cleaning, complete with a brass pull ring. Inside, it retains two original, hand-painted porcelain bird feeders (yellow ground with blue floral motifs).

Condition: Excellent condition. The wood is solid and sturdy with a beautiful natural patina. The delicate cage bars are fully intact and well-preserved. The sliding door and removable tray function smoothly. Minor surface wear and slight oxidation to the metal hardware, consistent with age and use. No structural damage.
