A magnificent pair of antique Chinese porcelain Cong-form vases, featuring a lustrous, smooth pale green celadon glaze. Modeled after ancient ritual jade forms, each square vase is decorated on its corners with molded raised relief representations of the Eight Trigrams (Ba Gua).
The traditional rectangular bodies transition to short circular necks and foot rings, representing the classic Chinese cosmology of square earth and round heaven.
