This heavy lead crystal piece draws beautifully from the traditional American Brilliant Period (ABP) style of glassmaking, displaying incredible clarity, deep mitre cuts, and brilliant light refraction. The body features an intricate combination of geometric motifs, including large multi-pointed hobstars (starbursts) alternating with sweeping fan and feather cuts. The top is finished with a dramatic, deeply scalloped sawtooth edge. This substantial piece has a wonderful, heavy weight to it and rings beautifully like high-quality crystal when gently tapped. It is unmarked (unsigned), which is very common for brilliant-era crystal pieces of this quality. An exceptional display piece for a dining table centerpiece, fruit bowl, or a prized addition to an antique glassware collection. See less
