Designed by Johannes Sorth for Bornholms Møbelfabrik, this teak bookcase represents a significant example of 1960s Danish design, characterized by a balance between functionality and formal purity. The upper section is organized with four adjustable shelves, while the lower module is closed by two sliding doors that conceal a large storage compartment with an internal shelf. A distinctive feature of Sorth's design language is the soft transition between the upper bookcase and the lower cabinet: the curved sides accompany the transition between the two volumes, lightening the structure and giving it an elegant and immediately recognizable profile.
