Folding rattan screen composed of five modules, with a perforated frame featuring geometric patterns and exposed bindings. Scandinavian production, 1960s.
Five tall, narrow panels compose the screen, each constructed around a curved rattan structure that forms a vertical succession of large rhomboid shapes. Thin, straight rods, arranged diagonally and parallel to one another, alternately fill the different areas without closing them off. The result is an open pattern in which the curves of the rattan define the design, while the thinner elements emphasize its geometry. Exposed bindings secure the different elements at their intersections, highlighting the artisanal nature of the construction. The five modules measure 50 cm each, for a total length of 250 cm, and are connected by leather straps that allow the screen to be freely articulated. Scandinavian production, 1960s. Good condition.
