"Norrland" model designed by Alf Svensson for Bjästa Möbelfabrik. Made in Sweden, 1960s.

Designed by Alf Svensson for Bjästa Möbelfabrik in the 1960s, the "Norrland" bookcase is made of oak and features an open upper section and a storage compartment at the base. The upper section is divided into two central sections and features 28 cm-deep adjustable shelves, allowing the light grain of the oak to remain clearly visible throughout the structure. In the lower section, two wooden-framed doors enclose woven rattan panels, introducing a denser, more textured texture that contrasts with the uniform surfaces of the oak. Inside, additional shelves organize the storage space. The slightly rounded profiles and slender square-section legs complete a minimalist construction, in which the interplay of wood and natural fibers is one of the most recognizable elements of the "Norrland" line.
