The tall, slender stem … Read more Dutch Amsterdam School floor lamp dating from circa 1925, crafted in oak with dark-stained wooden details. The tall, slender stem rises from an expressive three-part carved base with decorative dark wooden ornaments. The lamp was later paired with an orange moulded-glass shade, most likely dating from the 1960s. Although the base and shade were not originally designed as one piece, the combination works surprisingly well: the warmth of the wood, the dark accents and the vivid orange glass complement each other beautifully and give the lamp a character entirely of its own. It is precisely this unexpected pairing that makes the lamp unique and difficult to find again in the same form. In good vintage condition with signs of use consistent with age.
