Beautifully crafted in richly figured walnut and afromosia, the piece showcases the warm, distinctive grain and understated elegance characteristic of Hoffstead’s furniture for Uniflex.

The tallboy features a clean, architectural form with six graduated drawers, each retaining its original minimalist proportions and distinctive recessed finger-pull detailing. The broad drawer fronts are enhanced by continuous wood grain, while the darker afromosia accents add subtle contrast and definition.

Raised on an elegant tapered solid-wood stand with stretcher supports, the elevated base gives the substantial cabinet a light, sculptural appearance. The combination of exceptional timber, restrained geometry and thoughtful detailing makes this an excellent example of 1960s British modernist furniture.
