Vico Magistretti Lyndon Floor Lamp for Oluce, Chrome and Glass
Vico Magistretti was a leading figure of Italian mid century design, working for Cassina, Artemide and Oluce. Designed in 1977, the Lyndon lamp is among his best known lighting designs, built from clear glass spheres held in slender chrome wire rings.
This example gathers four clear glass globes on a chrome stem with a half dome base.
Materials: Chrome plated steel, glass
Origination: Italy, 1970s (Oluce, design 1977). Provenance: Swiss private collection
Condition: Good; light chrome wear; glass undamaged; wiring tested, working. A sign of use on the chrome base in the form of a minor bump, as show in the images.
