Here is a beautiful, signed original studio pottery table lamp dating to the 1970s. The organic modern handcrafted ceramic body features warm earthy brown, terracotta clay contrasted with a speckled very light gray glaze and sculptural incised linework that creates an abstract, organic design. A natural cork collar at the top adds another wonderful textural element and complements the handmade quality of the piece.
The lamp bears an unusual impressed three-shell artist's mark, featuring two fan shells and a smaller spiral shell. The maker has not been identified.
A wonderfully sculptural example of 1970s studio pottery with an earthy Organic Modern feel.
