Oil painting on Belgian linen laid down on hardboard of a Maltese resting on a cushion with tassels. Signed in the lower left corner and inscribed on the reverse, Satori Gregorakis, Taos New Mexico 1992. Framed.
I paint in the traditional style of old masters because I am drawn to the charisma of that era. For me, creating art is a patient ritual. At the heart of my process is the careful preparation of the painting surface. Ultimately my goal is for the person viewing my work to experience a pause, a moment to reflect.
Satori’s paintings are widely collected both nationally and internationally.
