The piece is created in … Read more Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown fish in green glass and bubbles Italian art glass paperweight. The piece is created in the manner of designer Alfredo Barbini and the Cenedese company. The fish has very flowy white ribbon fins, a red and purple body, with applied yellow eyes. The green glass used for the paperweight has a high Uranium UV reactive glass content, and it glows. See the photo with the blacklight. The body of the fish also has glittery gold leaf throughout it. You can see it clearly on the close up photo. The fish is swimming through very large air bubbles, creating a unique design. Would make a great display piece on any desk, dresser or coffee table. You will be able to showcase it as a decorative piece in any room. Mid-century era. The paperweight measures 3 1/4" tall x 3 3/4" wide.
