A dramatic vintage three-seat sofa by Singer Furniture of Roanoke, Virginia, upholstered in richly saturated ruby-red crushed velvet. Three oversized floral velvet cushions form the deeply comfortable back, lending the piece its wonderfully theatrical character.

Preserved beneath its original protective plastic covers for decades, the upholstery remains remarkably vibrant, with no visible fading and very little evidence of use. The original cushioning retains its bounce and provides the genuine sink-in comfort promised by its generous proportions.

A substantial exposed wood frame surrounds the upholstery, with deeply carved scroll arms and foliate detailing providing an elegant counterpoint to the lush velvet. Bold yet beautifully composed, the sofa would be especially compelling in a Hollywood Regency, maximalist, Victorian Revival, Mediterranean, or richly layered contemporary interior.
