Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly decorative vintage Chinese cricket cage (or cricket container). Crafted from a dense, richly grained Huali Rosewood with a beautiful, glowing reddish-brown patina, this cylindrical cage is constructed from fine, evenly spaced wooden slats.

The base of the cage is exquisitely decorated with Mother-of-Pearl and vibrant green semi-precious stone inlay, depicting a charming scene of scrolling flowers, pomegranates, and butterflies. The cage features an ornate cast bronze top with a hanging hook, and a bronze beast-head pull ring on the side. A small, golden-toned feeder cup is mounted inside the cage.

Condition: Excellent condition. The wood is solid and sturdy with a beautiful natural patina. All inlays are present and secure. The delicate wooden slats are fully intact and well-preserved. The bronze hardware is in good vintage condition. Minor surface wear consistent with age and use. No structural damage. Please refer to all photos for exact condition.
