Description:
Presenting a magnificent and highly decorative vintage Chinese hardwood cabinet. Crafted from dense, richly grained Huali Rosewood with a beautiful, warm reddish-brown patina and clear "ox-hair" grain, this chest features a classic architectural structure: a pair of upper double doors, two central drawers, and a pair of lower double doors.

The front panels are exquisitely carved in deep relief with "Antiques" (博古清供图) motifs—elegant vases, brush pots, incense burners, and books—set within geometric fretwork borders, symbolizing scholarly refinement. The central drawers are carved with auspicious scenes of pines, plum blossoms, and rocks. The bottom doors depict a figure with a toad (Liu Hai), a symbol of wealth and prosperity. Each drawer and door is fitted with aged bronze/iron lock plates, and the base is accented with brass corner guards.

Condition: Excellent condition. The wood is solid with a beautiful natural patina. All carved details are crisp and intact. The drawers and doors slide smoothly.
