Crafted from rattan with McGuire’s signature leather-wrapped joinery, the chairs are finished in a rich red lacquer that gives the traditional silhouette a bold, modern presence.

The sculptural Guanmaoyi-inspired form, with its distinctive extended crest rail, draws from traditional Chinese furniture while fitting beautifully within California Modern, Hollywood Regency, Chinoiserie, and eclectic interiors.

The chairs retain their original upholstery, which shows some fading from age but remains a good candidate for continued use or future reupholstery. Each chair retains its original McGuire tag.
