Made with lots of compartments, drawers are dove-tailed with wood glides that all work smoothly. Cutler & Sons was a company started by Abner Henry in Buffalo in 1829. By the middle oof the 19th century, he had been granted 7 patents covering various features of his company's most popular piece of furniture - the roll top desk. He did not invent the roll top desk, but made several design improvements. See less

- This antique is in wonderful condition. There is a front panel that I believe fits across the lap/knee area (there … moreThis antique is in wonderful condition. There is a front panel that I believe fits across the lap/knee area (there are holes on each stack of drawer bases where it looks like it is to be secured there.) There are 2 faint water stains on the very top of the desk... one on each side (see photos). Other than these two issues, the drawers all work and glide smoothly. This has been in storage for 6 years. Prior it was in a smoke free/ pet free home. less
