Italian Provincial sideboard by Century Furniture, featuring a softly distressed painted finish with hand-painted floral and foliate decoration.
The cabinet has a shaped rectangular top with molded and slightly projecting edges, two upper drawers, and two paneled cabinet doors. The doors and drawer fronts are decorated with delicate scrolling botanical motifs, while the case is accented with raised molding and architectural corner details.
The softly aged painted finish, restrained polychrome decoration, and substantial carved construction give the piece the character of Italian Provincial furniture while retaining the quality of Century Furniture construction. Original Century Furniture label present.
