Extremly rare set of two fully complete Danish "Rocket lamps" designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, circa 1955.
The floor lamps were designed in the early space age and named "Rocket lamp" with clear inspiration from the rockets that during those years were beginning to fly out into space.
The lamps feature a black metal frame with brass mounts on three feets with pointed feet of teak, internal white shade in opal hand blown glass and outer shade in blue hand blown glass, manufactored by Holmegaard. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
