1950s Svend Aage Holm Sørensen "Rocket floor lamp" with handblown opal glass.
Rare fully complete Danish tripod / rocket floor lamp designed by Svend Aage Holm Sørensen, circa 1955 when space rockets began not only to fill the imagination but also begin to try to conquer the space\. a floor lamp that is hard to find and get anywhere!
The floor lamp feature a black enameled metal and brass mounts on three tall teak feet, internal shade in white opal hand blown glass and outer shade in blue hand blown glass, manufactored by Holmegaard. Designed and manufactored by Holm Sørensen, Copenhagen in the 1950s. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
issues arising from misattribution,
