A striking late 19th-century Bohemian opaline glass perfume bottle, dating to approximately 1870–1890. The bottle features a rich cobalt-blue casing over opaque white opaline glass, embellished with hand-enameled floral reserves, raised decorative elements, and remnants of its original gilt ornamentation.
The cylindrical body is arranged with alternating pale opaline reserves containing delicate white blossoms, green foliage, vivid red-orange berries, and scrolling ochre and red motifs. Larger floral medallions and applied glass bead details add dimension to the decoration. The substantial matching stopper repeats the cobalt and floral decoration and retains its original ground-glass fitting.
The surviving wear to the gilding and enamel gives the bottle an unmistakably antique character and provides evidence of its long history. At approximately 7 inches tall, it has substantial decorative presence and displays beautifully as a collected object on a vanity, dressing table, bathroom shelf, or within a grouping of antique glass.

There is considerable age-related loss and fading to the original gilded decoration, along with areas of wear to the hand-painted enamel. Four sections of applied glass bead decoration are missing, as clearly documented in the photographs. A small amount of old residue, believed to be perfume, remains at the bottom of the interior despite careful cleaning attempts. Minor surface wear, marks, and irregularities are present throughout and are consistent with the bottle's age and hand-decorated manufacture. Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description. less
