Two-piece Century: New Wave porcelain set by Tapio Wirkkala and Dorothy Hafner for Rosenthal Studio-Line, produced in Germany in 1986 and 1989.
Wirkkala’s flowing porcelain forms are combined with Hafner’s postmodern decoration of sweeping black lines, rhythmic marks and pastel blue, pink, yellow and green. The set comprises an upright vase and a wide fruit bowl, both finished with a glossy glaze.
