Original vintage Belgian poster from 1958 , created for Germinal – De Mens en het Socialisme at the legendary Expo 58 in Brussels . The poster features a striking modernist composition combining the Expo 58 star, an abstract human figure and an architectural illustration of the Germinal pavilion . The strong use of black, red, yellow and blue gives the work a distinctly graphic, avant-garde character typical of late-1950s design. The poster is signed in print A. Evraert and was printed by Offsetdrukkerij Excelsior, Antwerpen . A particularly interesting piece of Belgian Expo 58 history, combining architecture, political and social history, and mid-century graphic design .
