Original vintage Expo 58 “Germinal” poster , designed by A. Evraert for the 1958 Brussels World’s Fair . This striking Belgian mid-century poster promotes the Germinal pavilion and carries the Dutch inscription “De Mens en het Socialisme” – “Man and Socialism.” The composition combines bold modernist typography with geometric forms and a stylised architectural illustration of the Germinal pavilion. The poster also incorporates the recognizable Expo 58 star-and-globe emblem , together with the inscription “Brussel 1958.” Its strong black, red, yellow and blue palette gives the work a particularly graphic, architectural character typical of late-1950s exhibition design.
