Presenting a striking piece of late 20th-century architectural art pottery: a genuine 1985 Haeger sphere/orb vase (Model #4395). This sculptural vessel expertly captures the Postmodern aesthetic, offering a dramatic visual contrast between its sleek, high-gloss "piano black" finish and a rough-textured, recessed vertical channel styled to mimic natural variegated granite. The piece features a distinct, clean-lined geometric notched rim at the top that accentuates its spherical silhouette. The underside retains its pristine, original off-white and green paper maker's label, confidently documenting its production lineage and 1985 copyright. Complete with original factory-applied protective felt pads on the base. A monumental accent piece perfectly suited for Memphis-milieu, Art Deco Revival, or minimalist modern interiors.Dimensions: 8.5" W x 8.5" D x 8.75" H. Opening on top is 3.25" x 3" and base is 4" in diameter: 1980sStyles: Postmodern, Art Deco Revival, Minimalism.
Excellent vintage condition overall. The glossy black finish remains bright and holds a beautiful shine. Upon close inspection, there are a couple of tiny, minor paint/glaze skips on the side from the original manufacturing process, but they are completely insignificant and do not distract from the display value of this striking piece. There are no chips, cracks, or structural repairs. The base retains its original felt floor protectors and its authentic 1985 paper Haeger sticker. Please see photos.
