A striking Mid-Century Modern telescoping floor lamp featuring a beautifully architectural rectangular brass base, polished brass upright and contrasting chrome details.
Unmarked, the lamp closely corresponds to adjustable floor lamps associated with Laurel Lamp Company and Nessen Studio. Because no manufacturer’s label has been located, the Laurel attribution is based on comparison with documented examples and is not definitive.
The lamp’s streamlined profile, square geometry and adjustable-height construction give it an elegant sculptural presence. Its warm, naturally aged brass surface works beautifully in Mid-Century Modern, Hollywood Regency, modernist and eclectic interiors.
The lamp retains its vintage cord and wiring. The damaged original plug has been replaced with a new plug, and the lamp has been tested and is currently working.
The internal foam or friction insert within the telescoping adjustment collar has deteriorated and is largely missing. Some original material remains, but replacement or servicing of the insert is recommended to restore the height-adjustment mechanism to optimal performance.
No shade is included, allowing the new owner to select a shade appropriate to the intended interior. The bulb pictured is shown for demonstration only and is not included.

Good vintage condition with an attractive naturally aged presentation. The brass and chrome surfaces exhibit patina, oxidation, spotting, scratches and surface wear consistent with age and use. The harp displays oxidation and wear. The original vintage wiring remains in place, with the damaged plug recently replaced. Tested and working. The internal foam/friction insert associated with the telescoping height adjustment has deteriorated and is largely missing; servicing or replacement is recommended. No shade included.
