Designed … Read more A charming pair of original mid-century bedside cabinets, dating to circa 1960, constructed in beautifully figured maple and Heywood. Designed with a strong emphasis on both practicality and clean-lined form, each cabinet features a generous rectangular top, raised rear gallery, and a distinctive projecting shelf tucked neatly beneath the upper section.

The cabinets are raised on elegant, slightly tapered splayed legs, giving the substantial bodies a light and elevated appearance. The fronts are particularly attractive, with vertically grained timber, softly rounded wooden handles, and original exposed hinges adding to their period character.

Warm honey and golden-brown timber tones showcase the natural grain beautifully, while the simple architectural design is quintessentially mid-century. A versatile pair that would work equally well as bedside tables, occasional cabinets, or compact storage pieces elsewhere in the home.
