The sculptural S-shaped frame is made from lightweight tubular metal with a gold/brass-coloured finish and supports a clear glass top. A slender metal magazine rack is incorporated into the curved frame, giving the table its distinctive architectural appearance.
The combination of gold-finished metal, glass and flowing geometric lines is characteristic of Italian furniture design of the 1960s and 1970s. The exact designer and manufacturer remain unknown.
