American in Origin - Circa Approx 1920s. It is as Identified on Page 135 of The Doorstop Book ( No Maker Mentioned ) as "Standing Chow" - Book Value $700 to $900. Note that this is The Only Chow Dog Doorstop that was Ever Produced by Any of the American Cast Iron Foundries. Large Scale & Very Heavy Solid Cast Weighing Over 9 1/2 Pounds. It is in Very Good Condition with No Damage or Repairs to the Casting. I am not Sure if the Paint is Original but it is Certainly Very Old as the Aged and Weathered Condition Shows.
