The lamp features a substantial architectural column-form metal base with square plinth, fluted and petal-form detailing, and a large clear cut-glass font decorated with an intricate diamond and fan pattern. The original oil-lamp configuration was converted to electricity at some point in its history, with the electrical cord entering through the base.

The burner retains marked thumb wheels and period fittings. Additional impressed lettering is present around the metal collar beneath the font; please see the detailed photographs for the markings.

The metal originally had a bright silvered/silver-plated finish which is now considerably worn, with the underlying warm copper/brass-toned metal showing throughout. The resulting surface has an attractive, untouched antique patina. There are scattered scratches, oxidation, finish loss and general wear consistent with considerable age and use.

The cut-glass font presents beautifully. Please examine all photographs closely for condition and construction. Electrical components have not been represented as meeting modern electrical standards, and rewiring/inspection by a qualified person is recommended before regular use.

Measurements: approximately 27 inches high overall with a 6.5 x 6.5 inch square base.
