Marianna Van Rossen Hoogendyk (1924-2008) was born in Connecticut to an Iowa native mother and a Dutch father. A 1946 Bennington College graduate, she studied at the Sorbonne in Paris in the late 1950s/early 1960s. She is referenced as an assistant professor of art of the University of Connecticut and was active in the Connecticut art world as an art show judge.
