Purchase in China in late 1980s. This cloisonné vase is a decorative metal vessel decorated with colorful enamel held within tiny, wire-formed compartments. The word "cloisonné" comes from the French word cloisons, which means partitions. Beautiful example without any defects in the vase exteriors or interiors. One slight chip on the bottom part which is not visible from view when piece is standing, so exceptional condition.
The width is a total of 6 inches in the middle of the vase. The top opening is about 4 inches wide. The height is 10 inches.
