A beautiful vintage Chinese hardwood keepsake box, crafted from warm, amber-toned Huali (Rosewood) with striking natural grain.
The lid is elegantly decorated with polychrome mother-of-pearl inlay. At the center is a serene monk (Arhat) in a deep red robe with a blue halo, a motif often associated with meditation and Zen Buddhism.
The four corners feature ornate scrolling cloud inlays in luminous shell. The box is secured by a traditional, aged brass latch and hinge. Its perfect medium size makes it ideal for jewelry, tea accessories, or as a striking decorative object on a desk or shelf.
