Striking vintage gilt faux-bamboo wall mirror by Carolina Mirror Company, featuring a distinctive elongated octagonal form and architectural four-tier frame.
The dramatic frame features four concentric rows of gilt faux-bamboo molding separated by mirrored channels, creating exceptional depth and dimension around the beveled central mirror. The geometric silhouette and bamboo detailing give the piece a classic Hollywood Regency and Chinoiserie-inspired aesthetic.
The original Carolina Mirror Company label remains affixed to the reverse and notes that the company's framed mirrors were assembled by hand. Faded identifying number "890551" is also visible on the original label.
The mirror retains hanging hardware on all four sides and was designed to be displayed either horizontally or vertically, making it particularly versatile over a console, dresser or mantel, or as a statement mirror in an entryway, bedroom or dining room.
This mirror has been in the same family for many years and remains in very good vintage condition. The gilt finish displays age-appropriate patina and areas of wear consistent with its age, which contribute to the character of the piece. Please review detailed photographs for condition.
