The body of the base consists of intricate, openwork panels featuring stylized, interlocking fish or sea creature (stingrays )motifs that repeat around the cylinder. The fish point downward, with their tails crossing near the bottom and their heads meeting at the top. The entire structure rests on a thick, multi-tiered circular rim that provides a stable, weighted foundation a 54” round fiber glass top attached with screws to the base .
