Elegant vintage white porcelain Guanyin figural table lamp in the Blanc de Chine tradition, mounted on an ornate pierced brass-tone base with a twisted metal support.
The beautifully modeled standing figure depicts Guanyin holding a small vase, with a serene expression, delicate jewelry, flowing layered robes and a lotus-inspired pedestal. The glossy white porcelain contrasts beautifully with the warm aged metalwork, giving the lamp a refined Chinoiserie presence that works equally well in traditional, eclectic and collected interiors.
At approximately 30 inches tall overall, the lamp has substantial scale without being oversized.
The lamp retains older wiring and period-style electrical components and is working at the time of listing. The cream fabric shade shown was added later and is included.
The porcelain is unmarked as far as can presently be determined, and the underside of the lamp base retains its covering. The exact maker and date are unknown. Based on its construction and hardware, the lamp appears consistent with mid-20th-century decorative lighting; no specific manufacturer or decade is being attributed.

Condition: Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. One finger is missing from the figure’s raised hand beside the vase. The loss is relatively inconspicuous when the lamp is viewed normally but is disclosed and shown in the photographs. Brass-tone metal surfaces have natural patina and finish wear. Minor surface wear is present consistent with age. Shade is later and not original to the lamp. The lamp is currently functioning; however, as with all vintage lighting retaining older wiring, professional inspection or rewiring may be appropriate before regular use.
