The tall baluster-form vessel has a graceful narrow neck opening to a broad flared rim. Stylized blossoms in turquoise blue, saffron yellow and warm rust red are intertwined with vivid green foliage and dark hand-drawn outlines over a warm ivory ground. A graphic black and terracotta border encircles the upper neck, giving the piece particularly strong visual presence.

The underside retains its original “Made in Turkey – Akincilar Imports” labels. Akincilar was the importer rather than the pottery workshop, so the vase is conservatively described as Turkish and Iznik-style rather than attributed to a specific maker.

An appealing piece of vintage Turkish art pottery for a console, mantel, bookcase or layered collected interior.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition. Minor age-appropriate surface and base wear is present, including wear to the underside foot. Hand-painted decoration naturally shows variations characteristic of its handmade production. No significant chips or cracks observed. Please refer to photographs. See less
