Portrait of John Ruskin by Charles Philip McCarthy is an original Photogravure realized in 1890 circa. Print realized on high quality cotton paper in big size with platinum toning effect. Signature of photographer and copyright notes printed on front lower edge by handmade mould. Excellent conditions. Dim: cm 43 x 34 In the picture a close portrait of John Ruskin, aged and bearded. John Ruskin (1819-1900) was a character of Victorian age: highbrow, painter, architect, philosopher and social thinker. Ruskin is considered one of the greatest exponents related to arts and avant-gardes of the late nineteenth century. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
