Description:
Presenting a beautiful and uniquely charming vintage Chinese porcelain brush washer (or small water pot). The piece is covered in a soft, pale celadon (bean green) glaze, which provides a subtle and elegant background.

The exterior is masterfully painted in varying shades of cobalt blue with a lively, freehand "Shrimp" (虾) scene. It depicts a realistic, dynamic shrimp swimming among water reeds and grasses, executed with the expressive brushstrokes characteristic of modern Chinese ink painting. The reverse side features elegant Chinese calligraphy reading "虾趣图" (Picture of Shrimp Playfulness) along with a signature and date.

The base is glazed in white and bears a red seal mark reading "大清光绪年制" (Made in the Great Qing Guangxu Period), a traditional reverence mark. This piece is a quintessential Scholar's Object, perfect for a desk or as a refined display piece.
